Norman Police Investigate Fatal Collision at SH-9 & 84th Ave SE

The Norman Police Department (NPD) responded to a report of an injury collision involving two vehicles at the intersection of State Highway 9 and 84th Avenue SE at approximately 5:18 p.m. Wednesday.
The initial investigation indicates that a small sedan was traveling southbound on 84th Avenue SE. As the sedan entered the intersection, an SUV traveling westbound on State Highway 9 collided with the sedan.
The sedan was occupied by an adult male and an adult female. Despite life-saving efforts, both were determined to be deceased at the scene from injuries sustained during the collision.
The SUV was occupied by one adult male. He reported no injuries and declined medical at the scene.
The collision remains under investigation by the NPD/OUPD Collision Investigation and Reconstruction Team.
