Community Leaders Honored at 2025 State of the City Address

Mayor Martha Guerrero looked to the future and highlighted recent City accomplishments in a wide ranging State of the City address on Thursday, June 5. Before a packed house of business leaders and community members at City Hall, the Mayor described the economic benefits of having the MLB A's and the AAA River Cats share Sutter Health Park, something that had never been done before. The Mayor also touted the passage of tax Measure O and how the additional revenue is already being used to hire more Firefighters and Police officers, improve parks and road maintenance, plus fund much needed infrastructure. The City's Climate Action Plan, housing and business growth, along with high speed internet upgrades and broadband access were also spotlighted. Community leaders were also recognized during the Mayor's State of the City Address, for their inspiring contributions to the West Sacramento community.
