This week's early talent spotlight article highlights some of the individuals who embody the Safran Together principle of "Commitment to a Shared Vision" through their mindset, collaboration and daily work.
Name: Sairah Susan Prasad
Company: Safran Cabin
Role: Project Coordinator
Education: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics, and Statistics and a Postgraduate diploma in Business Analytics
My favorite task is monitoring the on-time delivery of deliverables promised to our customers. I enjoy this responsibility because it allows me to coordinate with multiple departments and ensure that timelines are met efficiently.
A recent lesson I've learned is that no matter how confident you are in your work, it's essential to double-check everything. This habit has significantly improved the quality of my work and helped me avoid potential errors.
The accomplishment I'm most proud of is maintaining 100% on-time delivery. It's a direct reflection of consistent effort, coordination, and attention to detail.
What others had to say:
Sairah initially joined the company as a Program Administrator and within just two months, she was entrusted with the role of Project Coordinator for an airframer program in response to the company's evolving strategic priorities. Fully aware of the significant challenges and steep learning curve this transition entailed, Sairah embraced the opportunity with unwavering enthusiasm and a resolute commitment to excellence. Her readiness to adapt and lead by example powerfully embodies our core value of commitment to a shared vision.
Name: Abraham Gameros
Company: Safran Aircraft Engines
Role: Industrialization Engineer
Education: Degree in Aeronautical Engineering
What motivated me the most was the opportunity to be part of a company that allows professional growth. Safran's business model, its reputation in the industry, and the healthy work environment were all key drivers for me. I was eager to grow in a place where I could keep doing what I love.
One valuable lesson I've learned in this role is that you shouldn't make your whole life about work. If you manage your time well-or at least anticipate as many possible scenarios as you can-your ability to respond to problems improves, and you can solve issues more calmly and effectively.
What others had to say:
Abraham is a new collaborator who has brought about a cultural shift within the industrialization team. He takes ownership of the industrialization process, is clear about the team's goal, and strives to achieve it. He also understands that the business needs to reduce industrialization time and begins to seek innovation to make it happen. He understands his role and importance within the team; he sees himself as part of the collective success.
Name: Valentin Lauranson
Company: Safran Helicopter Engines
Role: Technical Support VIE (French international internship program)
Education: Degreen in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in robotics
It's difficult to choose just one, as I have learned a lot about our engines through all my industrialization and digitalization projects. If I had to pick one, I would say the industrialization of cobots for engine inspection. Working with robotic arms, AI, and helicopter engines is very exciting. These new technologies help us maintain the highest quality standards, and it's important to me to be a part of it.
Communication skills are extremely important in my role, as methods sit at the intersection of theory and practice. Technical knowledge in math and physics is crucial, but about 70% of the job involves working with people. Continually improving soft skills - such as being clear, concise, and precise - has a major impact on communication. Whether I'm communicating with technicians, colleagues, or upper management, adapting my message to the people in front of me is essential to ensuring successful collaboration.
The industrialization of the cryogenic machine because this process of cleaning is new, innovative and respects the environment as compared with older processes. As always, the human aspect was very important as the industrialization of this machine required a lot of attention and collaboration with technicians. This is because to be able to use this machine at peak efficiency, we needed their experience and feedback.
What others had to say:
Valentin has demonstrated excellence as project manager on various projects since he began at Safran Helicopter Engines. He aided in the successful deployment of new technology - a cryogenic ice blast machine that degreases parts more sustainably than traditional cleaning chemicals. Additionally, he implemented two different AI visual inspection tools (cobots) for quality control in the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) areas. These projects have brought about key improvements to our operations.
Name: Chloe Cartaillac
Company: Safran Aerosystems Evacuation
Role: Human Resources Data & Development Officer VIE (French international internship program)
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Control and Master's degree in Management Control and Human Resources
I have a special connection to Safran because my father has worked there as an adjuster/assembler since 1989, in Toulouse. I've known about the company ever since the merger in 2005 and have always been proud of my dad working there. The aeronautics industry is a big part of everyday life in Toulouse, so I grew up hearing about Safran and the aviation world. Even in high school I chose an engineering option to learn how aircraft work, so Safran was always at the top of my list for future career opportunities.
My favorite project so far has been acting as an internal trainer. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge, so I decided to create a Power BI training program for my colleagues. I loved designing each step of the training, particularly focusing on how to make the content simple, engaging, and easy to understand for everyone. I also enjoyed testing the training, gathering feedback, and continuously improving the format. The best part for me is seeing people happy and knowing they've learned something valuable by the end of the session.
The project I am most proud of is our new onboarding program. It was my first major project, and although it started as something small, it grew into a global initiative where we had to select a tool for worldwide deployment. Working with Safran teams worldwide on this onboarding project was an adventure. I saw the project develop from the idea stage to the official launch, and seeing it go live was an incredible feeling. The project is still ongoing today, including cross-boarding and offboarding, and I'm proud to continue contributing to it now from the Safran Aerosystems side in the United States.
