A full-service hotel plus apartment-style student housing beds would be developed at the university's downtown Chicago campus, with features including food and beverage venues, meeting and event spaces, and a connection to the existing parking garage adjacent to the site.
Developers are being sought to provide feedback on the plans, which will see a private partner to design, build, finance, operate and maintain the hotel, while the university intends to retain greater control over the student housing component.
Brailsford & Dunlavey is advising the university on the project.
