COLUMBUS-State Representative Diane Mullins (R-Hamilton) is pleased to announce the Ohio House of Representatives passed House Bill 65, the Agriculture Appreciation Act, with unanimous support.
This legislation will codify the following important agriculture days in state law:
"Agriculture deserves to be celebrated," said Mullins. "I hope by recognizing these days and weeks, future generations are inspired to learn more about Ohio's largest industry."
Agriculture is Ohio's number one industry, having an economic impact of more than $100 billion and employing one out seven Ohioans. Additionally, Ohio is home to more than 75,000 farms, 90% of which are family owned.
