Griffin Polinsky is from Wilmington, North Carolina and received his undergraduate degree from Northeastern University.

What are you looking forward to in your 1L year?

I am excited to meet my classmates, hear their different perspectives, and learn alongside people from a wide range of backgrounds. I also look forward to getting involved in the W&L community, building lasting friendships, and making the most of everything law school has to offer.

Hobbies/Interests?

I love cooking, competing in Ironman triathlons, playing soccer, hiking, scuba diving, and traveling to explore new places. I also want to learn how to fish!

Why W&L Law?

Having grown up in the D(M)V, I have always felt connected to this region. I was especially drawn to the close-knit, collaborative community that Washington and Lee offers. Traditions such as Fancy Dress and programs like the Kirgis Fellows create an environment where students genuinely know and support one another. I was also impressed by the outstanding faculty and the strength of W&L's alumni network.

What is the most adventurous thing you have done?

Scuba diving with sharks in Aruba.

What is something you hope to continue pursuing in law school that brings you joy?

I hope to continue training for Ironman triathlons while working toward my goal of qualifying for the Ironman World Championship in Kona.

What is something unique about you?

I was born at just 27 weeks and weighed only two pounds and make the best Maryland crab soup.
