Looking for a simple way to improve your health and well-being? Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation's Park Rx: Prescription for Healthy, Happy Living initiative encourages residents and employees to make parks part of their wellness routine.
Park Rx connects healthcare providers, public health agencies and parks to promote outdoor physical activity as a powerful tool for preventing and managing chronic health conditions. By prescribing time in nature, healthcare providers help individuals and families discover free, local opportunities for exercise, stress relief and overall wellness.
Now available at the Palm Beach County Vista Center, Government Center and Risk Management, free Prescription for Healthy, Happy Living booklets make it even easier for county employees to get involved. The booklet serves as a guide to healthy outdoor activities throughout Palm Beach County. Participants can also take part in the Healthy, Happy Living Challenge by completing three activities featured in the booklet. Those who complete the challenge and submit their check-ins will receive a complimentary Park Rx belt bag while supplies last.
Whether you're walking a scenic trail, enjoying a fitness zone or exploring one of Palm Beach County's many parks, every visit is a step toward a healthier, happier lifestyle.
