PHILADELPHIA (September 16, 2026) - September is powered by electric transportation as National Drive Electric Month and National Clean Energy Week highlight how electric vehicles are creating a cleaner energy future. PECO is spotlighting these initiatives by connecting customers across southeastern Pennsylvania with resources to support their transition to electric vehicles.

Together, the two national campaigns highlight the connection between cleaner energy and smarter transportation. PECO supports the region's transition to electric transportation by strengthening the local energy grid to meet customers' evolving needs, expanding the use of electric vehicles in its own operations, and providing practical resources for customers interested in making the switch.

Customers can use PECO's EVsmart online toolkit to compare electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, find public charging stations, and explore the potential costs and environmental benefits of driving electric.

The toolkit also connects customers with information on available tax credits and rebates, including PECO's $50 EV Driver Rebate, as well as time-of-use rates and PECO's Flex & Save program that may help lower at-home charging costs and incentives for installing charging equipment at homes and businesses.

These efforts are part of PECO's Path to Clean. PECO and its parent company, Exelon, are on a mission to reduce operations-driven emissions by 50% by 2030 and achieve net-zero operations-driven emissions by 2050. As part of that commitment, PECO currently operates approximately 340 electrified vehicles, including fully electric vehicles, hybrids, and vehicles with plug-in idle-mitigation units.
