Reed and Wicker File Manager’s Package to FY 2025 National Defense Authorization Act
Today, Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) Chairman Senator Jack Reed (D-RI) and Ranking Member Senator Roger Wicker (R-MS) filed a "manager's package" of 93 amendments to S. 4638, the SASC-passed National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025.
The manager's package, S. Amdt. 3290, is one amendment that incorporates 93 other amendments submitted by various members of the Senate. The amendments have been agreed to on a bipartisan basis by SASC leadership, all relevant committees of jurisdiction, and Senate leadership. The amendments include the Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025, the State Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2025, and other key authorization bills from across the Senate.
To enact the bill in a timely manner, the SASC-passed NDAA and the House-passed NDAA will be combined through a series of negotiations led by the leadership of SASC and HASC. The amendments included in the Reed-Wicker manager's package will be considered during the NDAA negotiations.
