World Teachers’ Day 2026

This World Teachers' Day, we're celebrating the voices and stories of educators around the world.

We asked teachers to share in their own words how they navigate everyday challenges and bring new learning experiences to life. These educators are thoughtfully using technology to help their students understand complex concepts, create engaging lessons, and support critical thinking. At Google, we design our educational tools in partnership with teachers and focus on keeping them at the heart of learning. No technology can replace the role that a teacher plays in the life of their students, mentoring and inspiring them to reach their full potential.

To help elevate teacher stories, like the ones in this World Teachers' Day collection, we're partnering with TED to launch a global idea search for educators who are innovating with technology. As teaching and learning continue to evolve, we believe that educator insights, ideas, and visions for the future of education should be leading the way. Educators with the most compelling ideas will have the chance to share their talks from the TED stage.

Explore the stories below to hear directly from educators and learn how you can share your ideas with TED and Google by registering for the Idea Workshop.
