GODFREY -The Lewis and Clark Community College Music Department is hosting a free Halloween Bash for the community this Thursday, Oct. 22 - complete with live music and a guided ghost hunt.
The event begins at 7 p.m., with different activities taking place in the Ringhausen Music Building, Gilman Hall and the Benjamin Godfrey Memorial Chapel. All three are located together on the south end of the Godfrey Campus, with parking nearby.
In addition to a live performance by Silver Material, a Midwest emo band out of Staunton, there will also be a guided ghost hunt, games and snacks provided. Come in your Halloween best for a chance to win a prize during the costume contest.
"We want to reach out to the community, current students who are not music majors and potential future music students to let them know what we offer and to increase our visibility," said Music Program Coordinator Juliet Jackson.
In addition to the program's two-year offerings, the Music Department at Lewis and Clark also offers private music instruction, non-credit music education, and free live performances throughout the year that are open to the community. Learn more at www.lc.edu/music.
This event is also free and open to the public and promises to be fun for community members of all ages.
