In 2024, the community donated 30,177 pounds of food and $20,558 in monetary contributions. This year, together we surpassed those numbers, collecting 30,339 pounds of food and $34,950 in donations, equivalent to more than 60,000 pounds of food for our local food banks.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to our Marion County departments and teams, whose dedication and hard work made this achievement possible. Your commitment truly makes a difference in the lives of our neighbors.
All contributions directly support our partners at Brother's Keeper, Interfaith Emergency Services, The Salvation Army of Ocala, and Vets Helping Vets USA, helping families across Marion County during the holiday season and beyond.
"This incredible milestone is a testament to the generosity and community spirit of Marion County residents," said Commissioner Kathy Bryant. "Every pound of food and every dollar donated brings hope, nourishment, and support to families who need it most."
