Mayor Bowser and Chairman Mendelson to Make Joint Announcement Regarding MPD Collective Bargaining Agreement

(Washington, DC) - Today, on Wednesday, September 3 at 9 am, Mayor Muriel Bowser, DC Council Chairman Phil Mendelson, and District public safety leaders will announce a new labor agreement with the DC Fraternal Order of Police Union as well as pay increases for non-union officers with the ranks of lieutenant and above. The Mayor will also announce several new police officer recruitment and retention initiatives to help increase the size of the Metropolitan Police Department.
