Portion of Adams Street to Close Beginning September 30

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities (LTU) today announced that Adams Street between 48th and 50th streets will close beginning Tuesday, September 30, as part of an ongoing street improvement project. This work is scheduled to be completed by late November.

The recommended detour for those traveling northbound on 48th Street to eastbound Adams Street is 48th Street to Leighton Avenue to 56th Street to Adams Street. The recommended detour for those traveling southbound on 48th Street to eastbound Adams Street is 48th Street to Fremont Street to 56th Street to Adams Street.

Travelers are encouraged to seek an alternate route and exercise caution around these closures. LTU appreciates the public's patience during these closures and reminds residents that project dates are subject to change due to weather and unforeseen circumstances.
