The Fulbright Program has recognized the Georgia Institute of Technology as one of the colleges and universities with the highest number of students and recent alumni selected for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. Fulbright Top Producing Institutions such as Georgia Tech value global connections and support members of their campus communities across the United States in pursuing international opportunities.

"Thirty-five years ago, a Fulbright award changed my life and put me on the path I'm still on today," said Ángel Cabrera, president of Georgia Tech. "Fulbright students benefit from unrivaled opportunities for education, personal development, and intercultural leadership, and they return home as globally aware problem-solvers with new perspectives and a renewed commitment to address humanity's most pressing challenges. This program is dear to my heart and truly one of the greatest assets of American higher education, and I am immensely proud of Georgia Tech for becoming one of the foremost producers of Fulbright talent."

This academic year, two Georgia Tech students and alumni were selected for Fulbright U.S. Student Program awards, and two were named as alternates. Among this year's recipients is alumna Nethra Rammohan, who serves as an English teaching assistant at a preparatory high school in Zurich, Switzerland. Rammohan, who earned a Bachelor of Science in Literature, Media, and Communication in 2021, credits Georgia Tech's Prestigious Fellowships Advising team for guiding her through the application process.

Georgia Tech applicants to the Fulbright U.S. Student Program receive comprehensive support and mentorship from Prestigious Fellowships advisor Georgia Brunner.

"Not only does Fulbright provide students a way to conduct research, study, or gain valuable teaching experience," Brunner said, "but the program also offers a unique chance to engage and immerse in other cultures and communities."

To expand access and encourage more student participation, Georgia Tech launched a summer Fulbright Application Boot Camp, contributing to an increase in applications for the 2025-26 cycle and even greater growth for 2026-27.
