BAACAL Announces Clean Out Resale Program Enabled by ThredUp’s Resale-as-a-Service®

February 3, 2026 (Oakland, CA. and Los Angeles, California) - BAACAL, the first CFDA designer-led brand dedicated exclusively to women sizes 10-28, today announces the launch of its Clean Out resale program in partnership with ThredUp. This initiative allows customers to trade in gently-worn items from any brand in exchange for BAACAL shopping credit, fostering a more sustainable and accessible fashion ecosystem for "The True Size Majority™."

The program is powered by ThredUp's Resale-as-a-Service®(RaaS®), joining an impressive roster of retail leaders like Torrid, J.Crew, Athleta, Cotopaxi and Madewell. BAACAL's entrance into the resale market continues to cultivate high-end, contemporary options for the plus-size community-a segment of the market that has historically been underserved in the circular fashion movement.

"My journey with BAACAL began because I couldn't find high-quality, contemporary clothing in my size-both as a woman and a designer," said Cynthia Vincent, Founder of BAACAL. "Championing sustainability has been our ethos from day one. By partnering with ThredUp, we are expanding that mission, providing our community with an easy way to participate in circular fashion while increasing the availability of premium, better-made wardrobe heroes for plus-size individuals."

To prioritize immediate impact and sustainability, the program is launching with a digital-only shipping model, with physical co-branded Clean Out Bags to follow in the coming months. Customers can participate immediately by visiting baacal.thredup.comto generate and print a prepaid shipping label, which can be used with any shippable box or bag currently at home and sent back to ThredUp for free. Customers will receive BAACAL credit to be used toward new purchases on baacal.com.
