One of the event's highlights is the return of the free synthetic ice-skating rink, located in the 300 block of Main Street. Open all afternoon and evening, the rink offers a rare chance to glide on "ice" in the desert. Skates are provided at no cost (or guests may bring their own). Skaters must be at least five years old and accompanied by an adult. Waivers are required, so families are encouraged to arrive early to secure their skating times.

At 6:15 p.m., the community will gather near the Yuma Art Center (254 S. Main Street) for the lighting of the Main Street Christmas tree-a beloved tradition that draws thousands each year. Immediately after, Santa will be available for free photos at the Children's Museum of Yuma County (200 S. Main Street) from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. And keep your cameras ready…the Grinch will be roaming around Main Street too!

Throughout the day, visitors can enjoy festive decorations, live performances by local groups, food vendors, and a kids' activity zone-all adding to the joyful holiday atmosphere.

"There's nothing better than seeing families come together to celebrate the season in the heart of our community," said Special Events Coordinator Brissa Garcia. "Downtown Christmas is a tradition that brings joy, connection, and that holiday magic we all love in Yuma."
