On April 23, 2026, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Foreign Ministry Liu Jinsong met with Ambassador of Mongolia to China Nyamaa Enkhbold. The two sides had an in-depth and friendly exchange of views on bilateral relations and issues of common concern. Both sides agreed to jointly implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries and continue to advance the China-Mongolia comprehensive strategic partnership.

Also on April 23, Liu Jinsong met with a delegation of scholars led by Mendee Jargalsaikhan, Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies under the National Security Council of Mongolia. The two sides had a candid discussion on strategic security issues.
