Your vote matters

This fall, voters will decide Gresham's Mayor and City Council Positions 2, 4 and 6 during the general election on November 3.

Those elected in November will serve four-year terms starting January 1, 2027, and ending December 31, 2030. For more details about Gresham's candidates for Mayor and Council, visit our Elections webpage.

Coalition Forum for Gresham City Council candidates

The Coalition of Gresham Neighborhood Associations is hosting two online forums for the community to hear from candidates in this year's Gresham City Council races.

• Candidate Forum, Thursday, October 15, 6:30-8:00 pm
  Council Positions 4 and 6 candidates

All candidates were invited. The participating candidates are:

Voting Center Expres

Gresham's Voting Center Express opens October 8 at the Multnomah County East Building, 600 NE Eighth St.

Provided by Multnomah County, voters can replace a lost ballot, get help voting, ask questions, drop off a ballot, vote in person, etc.

Ranked choice voting coming to Gresham ballots

For the first time this November, Gresham voters will use ranked choice voting (RCV) to elect candidates running for Multnomah County Chair, Auditor, Sheriff and Commissioner positions.

In 2022, voters approved a measure requiring the use of RCV for all Multnomah County candidate contests beginning in 2026. Instead of selecting only a single candidate, RCV allows voters to rank multiple candidates by preference.

So, if your top choice is eliminated, your vote can automatically count toward your next ranked candidate.
