2026 NATCA Calendar: September Highlights Fargo ATCT (FAR)

For September, NATCA's wall calendar features a photo of the air traffic control tower at Hector International Airport (FAR) in Fargo, N.D. The photo was taken by Matt Bartelt (Fargo ATCT, FAR).

The history of Hector International Airport dates to 1927 when Martin Hector leased a quarter-section of land to the city of Fargo, N.D. Two years later, Hector gave that land to the city. In 1931, Northwest Airways began passenger service to Fargo.

The current terminal was built in 1986. The Level 6 tower has 23 NATCA members, and the airport served more than 1.17 million passengers in 2025.

Every year, NATCA designs and distributes a monthly wall calendar featuring photos of air traffic control facilities that have been taken by our Union's members. The calendars are offered free of charge to active and retired NATCA members free of charge. However, all members who want to receive a calendar must request one - each year - through MyNATCA.
