On 4 March, Consul General Chen Shijie visited the vegetable farm of Healthy n Fresh Ltd, a company owned and operated by Chinese New Zealanders within the consular district, and held discussions with Mr. Pan Dongjie, the director of the company and agricultural technical staff.
During the visit, Mr. Chen was briefed on the company's production operations and future development plans. He commended the company for its strong integration into New Zealand's mainstream market, its commitment to environmental sustainability, and its efforts to introduce and promote high-quality Chinese fruits and vegetables.
Mr. Chen encouraged the company to continue prioritising workplace safety and operating in full compliance with New Zealand laws and regulations, further demonstrating the positive contribution of Chinese-owned businesses to New Zealand society. He expressed the hope that Healthy n Fresh Ltd would continue to play an active role in supporting closer economic and trade cooperation between China and New Zealand.
Established in 2008, Healthy n Fresh Ltd specialises in fruit and vegetable cultivation and imports. Over the years, it has grown into one of New Zealand's leading suppliers of fresh produce.
