SEOUL, 12 March 2026 - The Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Korea, through its climate-dedicated EU-Korea Green Partnership Programme (GPP), will host an expert-level seminar on the reduction and management of fluorinated gases (F-gases).

F-gases are among the greenhouse gases in use today with a high global warming potential. Even in small quantities, they can have a significant impact on the climate. Addressing these emissions is essential to achieving the global targets of the Paris Agreement and reaching net zero.

This expert-level seminar will bring together policymakers, industry representatives, and technical experts from the EU and Korea to exchange insights on F-gas reduction and management across key sectors. The seminar will provide an overview of the policy frameworks of both the EU and Korea, while highlighting industrial perspectives and business practices.

Key subtopics include management of F-gases, certification, technologies, and containment measures to avoid emissions. These sessions will be followed by panel discussions involving voices from the heating, cooling, refrigeration, and semiconductor sectors.
