Warning to drive safely following sign vandalism

Motorists are being urged to take extra care on roads around Milton after 20 speed and directional signs were vandalised over the past 24 hours.

The damage has affected Croobyar Road, Woodburn Road and Woodstock Road, and includes a number of 60 km/h and 80 km/h speed limit signs.

Council crews are working to replace the signs as a priority. In the meantime, motorists are urged to exercise extra caution and drive to the road, traffic and weather conditions when travelling through the area.

These roads are predominantly used by local residents who are familiar with the existing speed limits. However, as a precaution, motorists are recommended to travel at no more than 60 km/h while the affected signage is being replaced.

Drivers travelling to Pigeon House Mountain are also encouraged to use a navigation app, as directional signs to the popular destination are among those that have been removed.
