Briefing on Preparations for the International Water Conference

On April 15, 2026 a briefing was held at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Seoul regarding the preparations for the 4th International High-Level Conference on the International Decade for Action "Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028" (to be held May 25-28, 2026, in Dushanbe.

The event was attended by media representatives from the host country, as well as representatives from the UNESCO International Centre for Water Security and Sustainable Management (UNESCO i-WSSM) and the Hanns Seidel Foundation Korea.

During the session, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Korea, Salohiddin Kirom, delivered remarks on the "Dushanbe Water Process". He emphasized the significance of this upcoming forum as a vital step in the preparatory process for the 2026 UN Water Conference and the 2028 UN Water Conference.

Furthermore, the Head of Mission provided detailed information regarding the Conference agenda, highlighting the thematic sessions, side events, forums, the exhibition, and the cultural programs scheduled to take place on the sidelines of the Conference.
