Marcum Appointed to Unexpired Logan School Board Seat

Charleston, W.Va. - West Virginia Superintendent of Schools Michele L. Blatt has appointed Craig Marcum to the Logan County Board of Education. The vacancy resulted from the departure of Debbie Mendez who recently resigned. Marcum's term begins immediately.

Unexpired terms on the Logan Board of Education are required to be filled by the State Superintendent as the county remains under full intervention by the West Virginia Board of Education.

Marcum's commitment to the community includes years of involvement in youth development initiatives and activities. A 2005 graduate of Logan High School, he is a successful business owner in the energy and logistics industry and has remained deeply connected to the area.

He and his wife, Linsey, have two children, Jagger and Croix, and are known for their dedication to helping young people succeed through years of coaching and developing baseball and basketball teams. Marcum's passion for education, leadership, and mentorship will be a valuable asset to the county board and the students it serves.
