Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria Yu Dunhai Meets with the IGP Olatunji Disu, Inspector-General of Police, Nigeria Police Force

On March 27, 2026, Ambassador Yu Dunhai met with IGP Olatunji Disu, the newly-appointed Inspector-General of Police, Nigeria Police Force.

Ambassador Yu congratulated Disu on his new appointment and noted that since the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Nigeria 55 years ago, China-Nigeria relations have continuously reached new heights, with remarkable achievements in cooperation in various fields, truly benefiting the people of both countries. China is willing to deepen law enforcement and security cooperation with Nigeria to provide strong guarantees for the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. The Chinese Embassy in Nigeria is willing to maintain close communication and cooperation with the Nigeria Police Force to effectively safeguard the safety and legitimate rights and interests of Chinese enterprises and personnel in Nigeria.

Disu spoke highly of the relations between Nigeria and China and the achievements of law enforcement and security cooperation between the two countries, thanked Chinese side for its assistance to Nigeria's economic and social development, and emphasized that the Nigerian police will continue to take concrete measures to fully protect the safety of Chinese personnel in Nigeria.
