UAA's Bromee fifth in slalom

Georgetown, Colorado - Ella Bromee led a trio of University of Alaska Anchorage skiers to top-10 finishes in the slalom races at the DU Invite.

Bromee posted a pair of top-10 runs to finish fifth in 1:30.11.

Teammate Carmen Nielssen was fourth after the first run but slid to eighth with a time of 1:30.22. Ainsley Proffit was 24th (1:32.44).

Giorgio Baldo led the UAA men finishing 10th (1:32.02), and teammate Dylan Timm was 11th (1:32.06).

Carlo Cordone was 16th (1:32.46), and Tommaso Olcese was 17th (1:32.51).

UAA currently sits fourth of 10 teams with 125 points.

Johs Herland of Utah won the men's race (1:29.59), and Sara Rask of Denver won the women's race (1:29.20).

UAA will compete in the slalom races at the CU Invite Tuesday.
