Buckeye police seek victims following child predator arrest

BUCKEYE, AZ (October 1, 2025): A man in is in jail accused of posing as a young teen to lure minors for sex. Buckeye police arrested Luis Garcia yesterday on multiple child sex crimes charges. Investigators are reaching out to the public because there may be more victims.

On August 27, 2025, a Buckeye Police School Resource Officer was notified about a sexually explicit video circulating on social media. Officers confirmed the identity of a 13-year-old girl in the video. The male in the video was determined to be a 20-year-old man.

The Buckeye Police Special Victims Unit began investigating. Detectives identified the suspect as Luis Garcia. They learned he had posed as a teen on social media to lure at least three female minors for sex. He was arrested yesterday at his home near Jackrabbit Trl and Marshall Ave.

Because this suspect resembles a teen and was using social media to contact minors, Buckeye police believe there may be more victims. We are asking anyone who has information that can be helpful in this ongoing investigation to please contact detectives at 623-349-6411 or submit a tip online at https://www.buckeyeaz.gov/crimetip.
