Water Department to Conduct Scheduled Maintenance on Water Main Valves

The City of Syracuse Department of Water will conduct scheduled maintenance on water main valves at various locations in the coming weeks. The maintenance is part of the department's ongoing efforts to maintain and improve the city's water distribution system. Residents and businesses in affected areas will receive door hanger notices distributed by the city's contractor before work begins. Notices will include information regarding anticipated water service disruptions and any road closures or traffic impacts associated with the work.

Temporary water service disruptions should be expected while maintenance is underway. The Department of Water will work to minimize the duration of disruptions and restore service as quickly as possible.

The following water mains are scheduled for maintenance:

  • 16-inch main at S. Clinton St. and Jefferson St.
  • 16-inch main at Bellevue Ave and Geddes St.
  • 36-inch main at S. Geddes St. and Bellevue Ave.
  • 36-inch main at Bellevue Ave and S. Geddes St.
  • 20-inch main at Gertrude St. and Lodi St.
  • 20-inch butterfly Hiawatha E. and 2nd North St.
  • 20-inch main at 600 Irving Ave.
  • 16-inch main at 100 E. Genesee St. at Almond St.
  • 20-inch butterfly at W. Onondaga St. and Putnam St.
  • 20-inch main at W. Onondaga St. and Dudley St.
  • 20-inch main at 813 W. Onondaga St.
  • 20-inch main at Lodi St and N. Salina St.
  • 16-inch main at E. Water St. and S. Townsend St.
  • 16-inch main at 400 Park St.
  • 20-inch main at 660 Burnet Ave.
  • 16-inch main at Walton St. and S. Clinton St.
  • 16-inch main at Park St. and Court St.
