Condé Nast Supports New AI Transparency Bill

With the support of Condé Nast, the bipartisan Stealth Bot Prohibition Act was introduced in Congress today by Representatives Laurel Lee (R-FL) and Valerie Foushee (D-NC). The legislation is designed to tackle the growing use of disguised AI crawlers that scrape publishers' content without permission. By requiring bots to identify themselves, it would give publishers greater visibility into who is accessing their sites and strengthen efforts to protect original journalism from unauthorized scraping.
