Kansas City area maintenance work for Jan. 20-23…

LEE'S SUMMIT, MO - The Missouri Department of Transportation will be performing maintenance work throughout the Kansas City region from Jan. 20 until Jan. 23. No work is scheduled for Monday, Jan. 19 for the holiday. All work is weather permitting.

JACKSON COUNTY

Interstate 70 eastbound at Missouri Highway 7: daily right lane closures on Tuesday, Jan. 20 and Wednesday, Jan. 21, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. daily, for drainage and ditch work.

Missouri Highway 291 at SE Hamblen Rd.: right lane closed on Thursday, Jan. 22, from approximately 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., for pavement repair.

JOHNSON COUNTY

Missouri Highway 131 between U.S. Highway 50 and NW 430 Rd.: flagging operations from Tuesday, Jan. 20 until Friday, Jan. 23, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

Rotue PP between SE 251 Rd. and SE 371 Rd.: flagging operations from Tuesday, Jan. 20 until Friday, Jan. 23, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush cutting.

LAFAYETTE COUNTY

Missouri Highway 23 between U.S. Highway 24 and Missouri 20: flagging operations from Tuesday, Jan. 20 until Thursday, Jan. 22, from approximately 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for shoulder work.

MO-23 between 14th St. and 15th St. in Concordia: flagging operations on Friday, Jan. 23, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., for drainage work.

RAY COUNTY

Route E at various locations: flagging operations on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and Wednesday, Jan. 22, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. daily, for brush removal.

Route D at various locations: flagging operations on Tuesday, Jan. 21 and Wednesday, Jan. 22, from approximately 7 a.m. until 4p.m. daily, for brush removal.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. They can also be short term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
