Medford Quarry team host senior citizens tour

Members of the Frederick County Department of Aging visit Medford Quarry

The Medford Quarry team in Maryland recently hosted senior citizens from the Frederick County Department of Aging as part of the county's community field trip program.

Guests received an overview of quarry operations, toured the site by bus, visited the pit overlook and participated in a Q&A session with the team. "The reactions of the visitors when they saw an active pit stood out the most," said Plant Manager Jake Marble. "Many had lived in the area for decades without realizing the quarry was there and were fascinated by its depth and geology. Their excitement reaffirmed why we chose this career."
