Canada: Canada Proposes Import Maximum Residue Limit for Chlorantraniliprole

Canada's Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) has proposed import maximum residue limits (MRLs) for four imported commodities. For avocados, PMRA is proposing a chlorantraniliprole MRL of 0.3 ppm; the current U.S. tolerance for avocado is 4.0 ppm. PMRA is holding a 75-day consultation period for stakeholders to submit comments on the proposal. The consultation will be open until October 5, 2025.
