Last Chance to Apply for the City of Trenton Animal Welfare Advisory Board

Trenton, N.J. - The City of Trenton is seeking applicants for the Animal Welfare Advisory Board. Mayor W. Reed Gusciora is looking for five dedicated citizens to join the board and help guide the City's animal welfare policies and programs. Applications for the advisory board close on Friday, January 24, 2025.

The Animal Welfare Advisory Board will play a key role in advising on strategies to improve the care of animals in the Trenton Animal Shelter (TAS), develop solutions to animal welfare concerns, and collaborate with residents, businesses, and community stakeholders. Members will provide valuable insights into addressing animal care, public safety, and ways to reduce unwanted pet populations.

The City invites individuals who are passionate about animal welfare, have experience in animal care, or backgrounds in related fields, such as animal control or law enforcement, to apply. The board will be instrumental in shaping the future of animal care in Trenton, and members will have the opportunity to make a direct impact on the well-being of animals in the community.

"This advisory board will play a key role in ensuring that Trenton remains a city that prioritizes the well-being of animals and develops meaningful solutions for our community," said Mayor Gusciora.

Interested applicants should submit their resumes and a brief letter of interest to [email protected].
