Amtrak and its partners are advancing the transformation of New York Penn Station into a modern transportation hub-enhancing safety, operational efficiency, accessibility, and increased train and passenger capacity to deliver a world-class passenger experience.

As the owner of this essential national asset, Amtrak is working with the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT), Federal Railroad Administration (FRA), and its regional partners to update the Station's entrances at street level, underground passenger concourses, back-of-house operational areas and systems, and trainshed infrastructure to enhance safety, functionality, and the Station's overall customer experience.
