CANYON, Texas - West Texas A&M University alumni can get free tickets to the upcoming Rivalry on the Range basketball games.

The WT Alumni Association will purchase tickets to both the men's and women's games against Lubbock Christian University on Jan. 30 for former WT students in the Lubbock area. The women will play at 5:30 p.m. and the men at 7:30 p.m., both in the Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock.

"The Rivalry on the Range games are important matchups for our teams, and the Alumni Association wants our student-athletes to know that Lubbock-area Buffs are there to support them," said Ronnie Hall, executive director of the WT Alumni Association. "We hope our supporters wear their maroon and come ready to root the Buffs on to victory."

Alumni can sign up for tickets by visiting wtamuuw.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_ezzGGHPjIy3gedE.

As of Jan. 22, the Buffs are 7-4 in Lone Star Conference play and 12-5 overall for the season. The Lady Buffs are 13-5 for the season and 7-4 in LSC play.

The WT squads are each looking for a victory following defeats to LCU earlier this month.

Strengthening existing and creating new relationships with alumni is a key mission of the University's long-range plan, WT 125: From the Panhandle to the World.

That plan is fueled by the historic One West comprehensive fundraising campaign, which reached its initial $125 million goal 18 months after publicly launching in September 2021. The campaign's new goal is to reach $175 million by 2025; currently, it has raised more than $160 million.
