Meeting with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission
The President of the Council of Ministers, Giorgia Meloni, had a bilateral meeting today with the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, in the margins of the United Nations Food Systems Summit in Addis Ababa.
The meeting provided an opportunity for an in-depth discussion on regional stability in the Horn of Africa and the role the Mattei Plan can play in strengthening infrastructure connections in the area.
AUC Chairperson Youssouf expressed deep appreciation for the Mattei Plan's initiatives and provided assurance of the African Union's full and firm support for Italy's strategy.
