Fox Lake Police Arrest a Volo Man

Fox Lake, IL - Fox Lake Police Arrest a Volo Man for Possession of Child Pornography Fox Lake, IL --- The Fox Lake Police Department has arrested a man for possession of child pornography. On March 08, 2025, at 3:30 PM, Fox Lake Police Department officers responded to a call regarding an individual who had Child Pornography on his cellular phone. Officers made contact with the alleged offender, 48 year old Paul Rosenquist of the 70 Block of Terra Springs Dr. in Volo IL. Investigating officers interviewed Rosenquist and confirmed his cellular phone contained images and videos of child pornography. The residence was searched and Rosenquist's cellular phone was seized along with additional electronic devices. Rosenquist was subsequently arrested for possession of child pornography. Through cooperation with the Lake County State's Attorney's office, Rosenquist was charged with 2 counts of Possession of Child Pornography Depicting a Child Under the Age of 13 (720 ILCS 5/11-20.1(A)(6), a class 2 felony. Rosenquist appeared in First Appearance Court on March 10, 2025, at 2:00PM at the Lake County Courthouse. The Lake County State's Attorney's Office filed a petition to detain which was granted by a Lake County Judge. The investigation is ongoing. Rosenquist's cell phone and other electronic devices is being forensically analyzed by the Lake County State's Attorney's Cyber Division, and it is believed it will contain more depictions of child pornography. Additional charges are expected upon the completion of the investigation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
