Construction Starts on The Devon at Weiss Farm

Construction Underway on 259-Unit LEED Silver Multifamily Community

Stoneham, MA, February 16, 2024 - Construction is now underway at The Devon at Weiss Farm, a 259-unit multifamily LEED Silver-rated project located on a 25-acre former dairy farm site. The development includes walking paths set among preserved open space, with Phase 1 featuring 12 townhomes, a 5,000 sf clubhouse, and the first building of 64 apartments, scheduled to deliver in June 2025. The project was designed by HDS Architecture and managed by Callahan Construction Managers as construction manager.

Located just under 10 miles from downtown Boston, 25% of the new housing will be designated affordable through the Commonwealth's Chapter 40B program. The design preserves the site's historic character while introducing modern, energy-efficient homes.

Complete with a barn-style clubhouse referencing the site's agricultural past, the community offers quartz countertops, tile backsplashes, LVT plank flooring, and stainless steel Energy Star appliances. Select homes feature private patios, balconies, walk-in glass showers, and walk-in closets.

Residents will enjoy high-tech amenities including a virtual package concierge, keyless building and unit access with video intercom, and planned EV charging stations.

The clubhouse features a fitness center with virtual workout pods, co-working space with private video-conferencing booths, billiard and gaming area, lounge with fireplace, catering kitchen, and coffee bar. A pet spa with grooming station serves the community's furry residents.

Additional amenities in Building C include a makerspace, co-working lounge, and furnished clubroom with culinary island, catering kitchen, oversized dining table, and media space. A rooftop lounge offers grill stations, fire pit, outdoor TV, and seating.

Outdoor amenities include a pool with chaise lounges, patio with fire pits and dining areas, bocce court, children's play area, wooded walking paths, and expansive lawns with landscaping.

Leasing is expected to begin in early 2025.
