Celebrating Pride
Pride Month is a celebration of love, freedom and the courage to live authentically. It is also a time to honor those who challenged injustice, expanded opportunity and helped move our nation closer to its highest ideals.
This month, we celebrate and recognize the trailblazers, advocates and activists-from San Francisco and across the country-whose leadership has advanced the cause of equality for generations. As we celebrate their progress, we recommit ourselves to carrying forward the work of building a more inclusive and more just future for all.

Call For Democracy
Thirty-seven years after the Tiananmen Square massacre, we remember the courageous students and citizens who stood peacefully for freedom, democracy and human dignity-and paid the ultimate price.
This week, we marked the anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre and honored those whose voices were met with violence but whose call for democracy endures. Their courage remains a reminder that the pursuit of freedom cannot be extinguished by fear and that the values of human rights and democratic expression continue to inspire people around the world today.

Standing With Freedom
The Ukrainian people are not asking others to fight their war. They are asking for the tools to defend their sovereignty, their democracy and their lives-and America must answer that call.
This week, I spoke on the House Floor in support of the Ukraine Support Act and reaffirmed a principle that has long defined our nation's leadership: the United States does not abandon those who fight for freedom. Supporting Ukraine is not only about standing with a democratic ally-it is about deterring authoritarian aggression, defending our values and strengthening the cause of peace around the world. As Ukraine continues to endure horrific attacks on civilians and families, Congress must remain committed to helping secure a just and lasting peace.
