Senators Schmitt, Kaine Introduce Bipartisan Resolution in Honor of National Catholic Schools Week

WASHINGTON - Today, U.S. Senators Eric Schmitt (R-MO) and Tim Kaine (D-VA) reintroduced a bipartisan resolution recognizing National Catholic Schools Week. This resolution celebrates the contributions of Catholic education across America and recognizes January 25 - January 31, 2026, as National Catholic School Week.

"Catholic schools provide values-centered education to millions of young Americans that fosters lifelong moral, social, and intellectual development. As a proud product of Missouri's Catholic school system, it is my honor to join my colleague to recognize and celebrate the dedication and accomplishments of our nation's Catholic schools during National Catholic Schools Week," said Senator Schmitt.

"Catholic schools in Virginia and across the nation instill important values, offer thought-provoking curricula, and nurture a lifetime of social and spiritual growth. My Catholic faith, superb education at a Catholic high school, and time teaching carpentry and welding at a Catholic school in Honduras, have played an invaluable role in my life, which is why I am proud to sponsor this resolution to recognize and celebrate the incredible educational opportunities Catholic schools provide to their students," said Senator Kaine.
