Voting opens today on APNIC By-laws resolutions and APNIC EC election

Member online voting on the proposed amendments to the APNIC By-laws and for the EC election opens today, Thursday, 29 January 2026 until Thursday, 12 February 2026 at 14:30 (UTC +7).

Voting process

The entire process is being conducted electronically on the Big Pulse platform. No ballot papers will be used.

To vote, log in to MyAPNIC using multifactor authentication and click the 'Vote Now' link on the dashboard. This will give you access to the BigPulse voting interface.

Voting entitlements are only available to individuals who are Corporate Contacts or authorized contacts with voting rights given by the Corporate Contact.

If you're not the Corporate Contact, talk to the person who is the Corporate Contact in your organization to make sure they are aware of the election and by-laws voting deadlines. If you don't know the Corporate Contact in your organization (but you're a listed Account Contact), you can find out in MyAPNIC under the Member Account Settings menu.

Proposed APNIC By-laws resolutions

Members of APNIC are asked to consider and vote on two proposed resolutions to amend the APNIC By-laws during the voting period. For these resolutions to successfully pass, they will require an affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of the votes cast pursuant to by-law 83.

To vote on a by-law resolution, select your chosen option and click 'Submit' to confirm your ballot submission. More information on voting on the by-law resolutions is available.

What are the proposed changes I can vote for?

The resolutions propose a number of amendments to the APNIC By-laws, including:

  • Extending EC member terms from two to three years and introducing term limits of three consecutive terms for EC members.
  • Making administrative changes to the by-laws.

EC election

Three positions are open for election on the APNIC EC. Check out the nominees for the election. Consider their background, nominee statement, and their history in the APNIC community.

Proxy appointment

The Corporate Contact of a Member organization may appoint a proxy to vote on their behalf via MyAPNIC. The proxy voter need not be from the Member organization. Confirmation emails are sent to the appointed proxy and the Corporate Contact after the proxy form is submitted via MyAPNIC.

Proxy appointment opens today and closes on Tuesday, 10 February at 09:30 (UTC +7).

FAQs about appointing a proxy for the by-law reforms and EC election are available on the APNIC website.
