Community Notice: Chevron Notification System Testing Scheduled for June 23

Community Notice: Chevron Employee Notification System Testing Scheduled for June 23

Residents and businesses in the area may hear an audible alarm as part of a scheduled test at the Chevron El Segundo Refinery.

On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, from approximately 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, Chevron will conduct a test of its new Employee Notification System at a processing unit located on the south side of the refinery, adjacent to Rosecrans Avenue and Pacific Avenue.

As part of the test, an audible "fire alarm" message will be broadcast to evaluate the system's sound quality, functionality, and overall performance.

Chevron advises that this is only a scheduled test and not an emergency. While the alarm is not expected to be heard beyond the refinery fence line, nearby residents and businesses may hear the notification.

Chevron will continue testing the new Employee Notification System over the coming months as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance employee communications.

For questions regarding the testing, please contact Chevron El Segundo at (310) 615-5342.
