Statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan strongly condemns the attack, motivated by ethnic hatred, on a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan, a fourth-grade schoolchild at the Uspenskiy Secondary School in the village of Gorki-2, Odintsovo city district, Moscow region, Aliev Qobiljon which took place on December 16, 2025, at the aforementioned school, as a result of which the mentioned citizen of Tajikistan died on the spot.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan expresses its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of the minor citizen of Tajikistan.

In connection with this incident, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tajikistan, S. Grigoriev, was called in to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan and presented with a note demanding that the Russian side conducts an immediate, objective, and impartial investigation of this tragic incident and bring all those involved to justice with the to the fullest extent permitted by law.

The Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Russian Federation has been instructed to remain in constant contact with the relatives and close associates of the deceased and to monitor the situation.
