The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 104 in Stamford. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, April 12 and be completed on Thursday, April 23, 2026. The project DOT01730557CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.51-mile segment of Route 104 in Stamford from the 0.06 miles south of Riverbank Road to the New York/Connecticut State line. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Burns Construction on Sunday, April 12 to Wednesday, April 15, 2026. The resurfacing segment of this project by O & G is anticipated to begin on Wednesday, April 15 to Thursday, April 23, 2026.

This project is included in CTDOT's 2026 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 104 from .06 miles South of Riverbank Road to the New York/Connecticut State line. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday night to Friday morning.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
