Project Spotlight: SR 77 bridge rehabbed in Holbrook

Little Colorado Bridge will continue to serve Northeast Arizona

HOLBROOK - The Arizona Department of Transportation has completed a bridge rehabilitation project on a key route into Holbrook.

The $2.4 million Little Colorado Bridge project along State Route 77 began in April, with the goal of rehabilitating and extending the life of the bridge that lies just south of Holbrook, on the way to Snowflake.

Crews milled and repaired the existing bridge deck and bridge joints, and replaced the roadway pavement on the north end of the bridge to Joy Nevin Avenue. Slope paving under the bridges was rehabilitated, and the guardrails and pavement markers in the project area were replaced entirely.

To reduce the impact of construction on drivers, ADOT made sure to require no detours or full closures of SR 77 in the project area. This project reaffirms ADOT's commitment to safety, ensuring these bridges can continue to serve the communities of Northern Arizona for years to come.
