Acting Governor of the Belgorod Region Alexander Shuvayev Shuvayev AlexanderActing Governor of the Belgorod Region : Yes, Mr President. I visit the municipalities every day. Over the past two and a half months, I have visited every one of them. I meet with residents, identify the problems they raise, and then, based on the list of assignments we have compiled, we address each issue, whether it is a proposal from local residents or a problem that needs to be fixed.

I also pay attention to security elements, which remain our top priority. Over the past two weeks, the number of attacks and shelling incidents has increased. Working together with the Ministry of Defence and the BARS-Belgorod volunteer unit, we have established a system under which we are now intercepting more than 50 percent of fixed-wing drones using systems currently undergoing field testing here. [Moscow Mayor] Sergei Sobyanin has also pledged further support for the development of this system. He continues to assist us by providing security equipment, and we are working together to further improve these capabilities.

Vladimir Putin: I understand that ensuring people's safety and protecting their lives and health is the key priority today. At the same time, we must not lose sight of social issues or the region's economic development. When it comes to social policy, one of the key challenges is increasing the number of doctors and other medical professionals per capita. There are other issues as well, and we will get down to them all shortly.

I am pleased to see that you have become completely involved in the work, and you are getting a feel for the situation in the region, and, most importantly, for the people's needs.

I know you have prepared a number of documents and proposals. We will go over everything carefully and in detail now. It is good to see you.
