Giddy Up for a Howling Good Time at Pompano Beach's Horse & Hound Costume Event

Get ready for a fall afternoon where horses, hounds, and Halloween fun take center stage! The City of Pompano Beach Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the Sand & Spurs Stables Committee, invites residents and visitors to saddle up for the Horse & Hound Costume Event, a free celebration featuring creative costumes, family-friendly activities, and plenty of four-legged fun.

The festivities take place Sunday, October 25, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Sand & Spurs Equestrian Park, 1600 NE 5th Avenue. Admission is free.

There's something for the whole herd! Guests can enjoy hay rides, a 360-degree photo booth, food trucks, and a bounce house for children, while some of Pompano Beach's most creatively dressed dogs and horses strut their stuff in the spotlight.

The competition kicks off with the Hound Costume Contest from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., followed by the Horse Costume Contest from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. Then, stick around as the horses take center stage for the Horse Show from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.
