UToledo has now canceled all in-person classes for Monday, Jan. 26. Remote and online classes will take place as scheduled.
Despite in-person classes being canceled, the University remains open and employees should report to work as scheduled. UToledo Health clinical operations, as always, will remain open.
Canceling afternoon and evening classes will allow University crews more time to clear parking lots and address blowing and drifting snow on roads and walkways.
Residential students will receive information from ParkUToledo about moving vehicles from parking lots to assist with snow removal.
University leadership evaluates the amount of snow or ice accumulated, road and parking lot conditions, building conditions, and future weather predictions and storm timing when making decisions about campus operations.
UToledo follows guidance from the Lucas County Sheriff's Office, which determines snow level advisories and emergencies.
