State Police arrest Lafargeville man for Sexual and Family Offens...

On November 7, 2024, State Police arrested Robert C. Bowes, age 35, from Lafargeville, NY, following his indictment by a Jefferson County Grand Jury.

Bowes is charged with:

Two Counts of Predatory Sexual of a Child (class "A" Felony)

Two Counts of Sexual Conduct Against a Child 1st degree (class "B" Felony)

Sexual Abuse 1st degree (class "D" Felony)

Act in Manner Injure Child less than 17 (class "A" misdemeanor)

Bowes is currently being held at the Jefferson County Public Safety building pending County Court.

Bowes was also arrested and charged under a second indictment for separate domestic violence case that occurred in the town of Orleans in late June of 2024.

Bowes is charged with:

Aggravated Family Offense-More than 1 offense within 5 years (class "E" felony)

Criminal Obstruction of Breathing/Blood Circulation (class "A" misdemeanor)

Assault 3rd degree (class "A" misdemeanor)

Bowes was remanded to the Jefferson County Public Safety building with $2,500.00 Bail, $7,500.00 secured surety bond, and $10,000.00 partially secured surety bond.
